Justin Randall Timberlake was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He is a singer, songwriter, actor, and producer. Prior to solo stardom, he was a member of the hugely successful “boy band” NSYNC . His performing career was launched in the late 1980s on the Disney Channel’s The New Mickey Mouse Club, along with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and future NSYNC member J.C. Chasez.
In 1996, he and Chasez were recruited for the male pop vocal quintet NSYNC. Their debut album was released in 1998, but their second effort, No Strings Attached in 2000, sold more than 14 million copies and featured a string of hits, including “It’s Gonna Be Me” which became one of the fastest-selling albums in history.
Timberlake’s solo recording career began in 2001 and his brand of pop has been so successful that he's been branded ‘The new King of Pop.’ Justin Timberlake is a pop and R&B singer, record producer and a new label executive.
