NMAAM will house both permanent and temporary exhibits profiling vocalists, instruments, composers and technicians who influenced African American music or were influenced by the diverse music form.

Our initial private supporters, including state and local government, Nashville’s business leaders and the NMAAM Board of Trustees, have afforded us the opportunity to take bold steps toward fulfilling our mission.
